Craftsman Table Saw Miter Slot Size
You can add a miter or sliding fixture to anything that can be routed out to fit the Miter T-Track work bench, table saw extensions, drill press tables, and band saw tables. The miter T-bar slides into the miter track or miter slot in your table saw. The T-bar can be used to make sliding jigs and other fixtures throughout the shop. The miter bar's adjustment range accommodates actual slot widths between 0.740' and 0.765' and is designed for 3/4' wide x 3/8' deep square-sided miter slots, with or without a 15/16' T-slot at the bottom. The Shopsmith version fits only the 0.719' x 5/16' slot size and is not compatible with the Shopsmith 10ER models. You can add a miter or sliding fixture to any thing that can be routed out to fit the Miter T-Track, work bench, table saw extensions, drill press tables, and band saw tables. The profile matches nearly all T-Slots found on table saws. The track comes in 32', perfect for router tables, and 48' lengths to fit just about any table you could create.

Part Number: MITER5000
The Miter 5000 blends the incremental angle control features of the Miter 3000SE with a special 3-panel Sled for exceptional accuracy, capacity, and control. 20”-25” panel cutting capacity on most saws plus T-tracks and a heavy duty hold down clamp for controlling small parts. Miter gauges don’t offer control or accuracy when pulled beyond the front of the saw, while the 5000 can crosscut 23' x 34' plywood cabinet sides with ease on most full size 10' table saws.
The 36' to 64' telescoping IncraLOCK Fence and Flip Shop Stop have plenty of range for long boards. Sleds allow better control because the lumber isn’t sliding on the saw’s top, and they’re safer for small parts, too. The 5000 has aluminum T-tracks embedded in the MDF platform to secure the included heavy duty Build-It hold-down clamp.

On a table saw, is the distance between the center of the blade and the center of the miter slot standard on all or most saws? Thanks. – Jerry
Tim Inman: NO. Each brand – and sometimes each individual machine! – is different, although they are often close. Each jig you make is unique to the saw you make it for, darn it. Most are 3/4 inch slots, though.
Chris Marshall: Following up on Tim’s answer, here’s a case in point. I have two cabinet saws in the shop right now — a Craftsman and a Delta Unisaw. There’s close consistency between these two saws concerning miter slot placement, but they aren’t identical. The distance between Delta’s slots is 9-15/16 in. (5-1/2 in. from the left slot to the face of the arbor flange on the left and 4-7/16 in. from the flange to the right slot). On the Craftsman, the slots are an even 10 in. apart (5-1/2 in. from the left slot to the flange and 4-1/2 in. from the flange to the right slot). It’s only a 1/16 in. variation, but that can make all the difference when trying to retrofit crosscut sleds and other jigs from one saw to another.
