Sandia Resort and Casino is a casino, events, and wedding venue in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Located less than a 20 minute drive from the Albuquerque International Airport, Sandia Resort and Casino provides a perfect romantic setting with breathtaking mountain views to accommodate celebrations of all sizes. The casino is one of the larger casinos in the Albuquerque area and the closest. It is just down from the Sandia Peak Tramway, so that is convenient. Also across from it is a Buffalo (Bison) Preserve. It is very beautiful. Patio seating with breathtaking views. After the game, celebrate with friends and colleagues at our 16,000-square-foot Clubhouse. Grab a bite at full-service restaurant and grill, or raise a glass on our 3,000-square-foot outdoor covered patio overlooking the 18th green. Sandia casino used to be a fun and enjoyable place to spend a few hours. This was before they went all 'mega casino' and started having to pay for all the build outs, additions and parking structures. Back then I could take $60-100 and count on a few hours on the slots with give and take.
The Albuquerque Square Dance Center (ASDC) features two dance halls with great acoustics and one of the best and largest dance floors in Albuquerque. The ABQ Dance Club uses this facility for their social dances (sorry, we don’t square dance – just rent this wonderful facility!) most every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month.
It is located at 4909-15 Hawkins NE (505-345-9797), one full block west of I-25, 1/2 block north of Ellison. Take the Ellison/San Antonio exit of highway, go west (away from Sandia mountains). Turn north (right) at the first intersection past the motels.
